Khan is looking to revive a rivalry that never came to fruition, despite years of speculation. Both boxers shared training in the same gym under the direction of Freddie Roach, which makes the potential clash even more interesting.
Khan, who retired in 2022 after a distinguished career with world titles and an Olympic medal, has made it clear that a fight against Pacquiao would be the motivation needed to return to the ring.

Amir Khan’s call generated a wave of comments among fans, although most do not seem enthusiastic about the idea. Some only consider that a fight between the two would come too late, as they confirmed on social networks:
