The Super Bowl LX halftime show continues to generate controversy. Although initial figures indicated that Bad Bunny’s show was “only” the fourth most-watched in history, a recent analysis by Roc Nation claims that its audience across platforms reached billions worldwide.
The show by Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, Bad Bunny’s real name, was controversial from beginning to end. Even President Donald Trump criticized the NFL for the appointment.
While the game itself attracted 137.7 million viewers in the US at its peak, Bad Bunny’s performance saw a slight dip to 128.2 million, according to ESPN figures.
This was the fourth-highest viewership in Super Bowl history, behind Kendrick Lamar (133.5 million), Michael Jackson (133.4 million), and Usher (129.3 million).
However, a broader count revealed a very different picture.
Bad Bunny’s global audience eclipses any competition
Roc Nation’s post on X (formerly Twitter) speaks volumes: “@sanbenito Sets global viewership record for most-watched Super Bowl Halftime Show performance of all time.”
The full-service entertainment company revealed that Bad Bunny’s performance at Levi’s Stadium generated 4.16 billion views in 24 hours.

According to Roc Nation and Apple Music, on X alone, the show generated two billion impressions, 209 million video views, six million posts related to Bad Bunny, and a 409% year-over-year increase in posts during the show.
Bad Bunny tops the charts
But the benefit was mutual. Just as the Super Bowl reached a global audience of billions with Bad Bunny headlining, the singer strengthened his presence on the charts.
The halftime show’s setlist became the most-streamed on Apple Music hours after the performance, and his music occupied 24 spots on the platform’s Top 100.
Just as “DtMF” became a global number one hit, songs like “I Like It,” featuring Cardi B, and “Tití Me Preguntó” experienced a resurgence after the Super Bowl.
Bad Bunny and his music will continue to generate controversy, but for the NFL, that’s pure gold.
