Back on the court, Caitlin Clark confessed that Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull “were both terrible”

After five months of inactivity due to multiple soft tissue injuries, Caitlin Clark joined the US team’s training camp.

However, during the offseason, even though the Indiana Fever star couldn’t play much basketball, CC was able to reconnect with the sport thanks to golf, but also tease her caddies.

Clark jokes with Hull and Cunningham

After recovering from a groin strain and ankle sprain that prevented her from playing more than 13 games, fans regained their excitement to see CC play again after a five-month wait, as her last appearance was on July 15.

During training camp, CC played in a 5-on-5 practice game and already excited fans, raising expectations for the 2026 season.

However, during the offseason, the former Iowa Hawkeye was seen at multiple sports-related events, such as her participation in the LPGA’s Annika Pro-Am tournament in November.

There, her friends and Fever teammates Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham accompanied her as her caddies. However, the 23-year-old guard surprised everyone by responding honestly about which of the two did a better job.

True to form and in a teasing tone, Clark answered this question but did not lean favorably toward either of them, quite the contrary:

“Neither of them. They were both terrible,” Caitlin stated. “But they were good vibes and that’s all that matters. They brought good vibes, but like, they don’t know anything about golf.”

Meanwhile, neither Hull nor Cunningham has responded to Clark’s statements about their friends’ performance, but it’s not surprising that they haven’t. In fact, the “Tres Leches” trio has won the hearts of Indiana fans not only for their talent on the court but also for their humor, jokes, and good vibes.

However, although many Fever fans are hoping to see them play together next season, only CC has a contract with the team. Sophie and Lexie will be free agents. Only time will tell whether or not she will continue with Indiana.
