Arda Güler is being bullied at Real Madrid… and the harassment is coming from the players

Serhat Pekmezci, Arda Guler‘s football mentor, has claimed that the Turkish player is being bullied at Real Madrid.

“The harassment came from the players. There is a group there that has not been able to accept Arda; unfortunately, they are players with a very high ego

“Although Real Madrid is a megaclub, Arda Guler is suffering from mobbing (workplace bullying). It’s not that he complained to me, but I knew this would happen. I told him to be patient,” Guler’s coach in his early years said in an interview that has made an impact in Turkey.

Serhat Pekmezci did not hesitate to point out those responsible for the mobbing (harassment to which a person is systematically subjected in the workplace) against Güler: “The harassment came from the players. There is a group there that could not accept Arda; unfortunately, they are players with a very high ego”.

“Arda is very patient and conscious, but even he has started to rebel, thinking: ‘Why always me?'”, he said of the Turkish footballer’s stance.

“Klopp already said that some players need to leave Madrid for him to come in”

Guler’s mentor claimed that the toxicity of the Real Madrid dressing room prevented Jurgen Klopp from signing and precipitated the departure of Xabi Alonso: “Klopp already said that some players need to leave for him to come. That’s why Xabi Alonso also left.”

Serhat Pekmezci: “Fenerbahce is a bigger club than Real Madrid”.

In his interview, Serhat Pekmezci claims that Fenerbahce is “a bigger club than Real Madrid”.

“I have always argued that Fenerbahce is no different from Real Madrid. In fact, for me, it is a bigger club than Real Madrid. We have a basketball team that won the Champions League. We have world-renowned athletes. Countless stars have come here. We have a coach who led the Brazilian national team to become world champions. We have many legends who came through our ranks, such as Oguz and Aykut. These people served no one but Fenerbahce, unlike others. They simply did their job, sweated for their jerseys and became great role models for future generations,” he said.

Serhat Pekmezci’s tough exit from Fenerbahce: “I was subjected to brutal harassment”

Serhat Pekmezci was responsible for signing talents such as Arda Guler and Yusuf Akcicek (Al-Hilal) for Fenerbahce, but he did not end well with the Kadikoy (Istanbul) team.

“I was fired. The director of the academy and the administrative manager at the time were not happy with me. They disbanded my team. They said, ‘You can do it alone’. Then they subjected me to brutal harassment,” he said.

“It seemed like Messi was coming, but it turned out that this guy has serious mental problems”

Pekmezci also spoke about the loan of the Colombian footballer Jhon Duran to Fenerbahce by Al-Nassr in July 2025.

“We have enough data to write a book about the 2026 season. What’s it about? A character called (Jhon) Duran was transferred. His arrival caused great surprise; it seemed that Leo Messi was coming. But it turned out that this guy has serious mental problems,” he said.
