Alix Earle had to set the record straight this weekend after the internet tried to link her to New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart. The hype began when a supposed screenshot started circulating online, claiming Dart slid into her DMs shortly after news surfaced regarding her breakup with Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios.
That screenshot showed what appeared to be Dart messaging Earle saying ”hey, u single now?” – but Earle immediately clarified none of that ever happened.
She posted on TikTok and directly addressed what people were sharing. Over a selfie, she wrote:
What is this fake photoshopped dm u guys are posting? 1.That never happened. 2. That wouldn’t be on my story.
Earle made it clear that not only was the screenshot fake, but she also had never posted any DM conversation on her Instagram story. This image was edited to look like she publicly shared Dart’s message – and she emphasized that was never the case.
Dart has not responded to any of the speculation.
Rumor surfaces right after Earle’s breakup becomes public
The timing is why the rumor took off so quickly. Just before this started trending, reports confirmed that Earle and Berrios had ended their two-year relationship. Their relationship required a lot of travel due to work schedules, especially over the past few months.
While competing on Dancing with the Stars alongside Val Chmerkovskiy, Earle spent most of her time in Los Angeles. Even though Berrios was not physically present for the finale, he still sent a prerecorded message cheering her on, saying he was proud of the work she put into the show.
They reportedly separated on mutual terms and moved forward without drama.
Dart makes headlines elsewhere, but stay quiet on the rumor
Earle shut down the fake DM story. Dart’s name was already circulating online for other reasons. He was recently spotted in Foxborough with model Marissa Ayers, who was photographed near his family during the Giants’ loss to New England. Dart has not acknowledged anything publicly and has not remained quiet through the social buzz.
Earle has been seen at different events since her split – including attending NYLON House at Miami art week – continuing with the growing public careers.
No messages, no DM story post, no connection – just an edited screenshot that went viral. Earle addressed it quickly, corrected it publicly, and moved on.
