Alex Rodríguez and Tom Brady to headline Fanatics Games 2025: The sports show redefining the fan experience

It all started with cryptic clues on social media – strange emojis, vague phrases, and unexpected mentions. At first, many thought it was just another creative marketing campaign. But what was brewing was far more ambitious: a true revolution in sports entertainment.

From June 20 to 22, the Javits Center in New York will host the Fanatics Games 2025, a one-of-a-kind experience where legendary athletes compete side-by-side with their most passionate fans.

The lineup features some of the biggest names in sports. Baseball icon Alex Rodríguez and NFL legend Tom Brady, the player with the most championship rings, will lead this spectacular event. But the star power doesn’t stop there. Kevin Durant, James Harden, John Cena, Micah Parsons, Russell Wilson, and other sports icons will join in competitions that blend soccer, basketball, football, wrestling, and hockey in ways never seen before.

From spectators to players: The fans enter the game

What sets these games apart from any other sports event is that the spotlight doesn’t belong only to the stars. Here, the fans shine too. A select group of 50 fans was chosen after showing off their athletic skills in homemade videos – dunks, trick shots, fancy dribbles, or highlight-worthy moves. This isn’t just a contest; it’s an invitation to compete against your idols.

Over three days, these fans will team up with athletes in challenges like NBA-style shooting contests, FIFA-like accuracy drills, and NFL-style throws. No rehearsals, no staged performances. Every move will be authentic, every mistake will be real. The excitement is guaranteed.

Fanatics Games: Where sports meet pop culture and tech

The event is part of Fanatics Fest, a massive festival that brought together more than 70,000 people and dozens of celebrities last year. In 2025, it’s getting even bigger: more interaction, more competitiveness, and more cutting-edge tech. Fans will be able to follow the action not only in person but also through exclusive streaming, behind-the-scenes content, and real-time coverage from top sports influencers.

Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin shared his excitement for the upcoming edition:

“It was amazing to see the passion and joy on fans’ faces during our first edition. We’re thrilled to return to New York with something even bigger.”

Fanatics Games 2025 doesn’t just change how fans watch sports – it redefines what it means to live sports. The event blends entertainment, sports culture, and technology to deliver something never seen before: a chance to be inside the game, not just in the stands.

This isn’t an event to watch from afar. It’s something to sweat through, cheer for, and live like you’re part of the team. For the first time ever, fans aren’t just the audience – they’re the stars.
