Aaron Judge motivated to return with Yankees to finish ‘unfinished business’

The New York Yankees are gearing up for a revenge season after losing the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers, and as their star player, Aaron Judge, reiterates the goal at every opportunity he gets.

The Spring Training has been complicated for the Yankees with multiple injuries, in addition to four wins and four losses, the last one on Sunday when they were beaten 11-1 by the Atlanta Braves, but there is still time to recover for the Opening Day on March 27 against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Judge knows that this is just the beginning and during an interview with Yes Network he added that he is motivated for the 2025 season, although when asked if his numbers that made him the American League MVP in 2024 left him satisfied, he was clear that it is never enough, and they have to focus on returning for a sporting rematch.

“I don’t think so. Until I stop playing and give it my all in this sport, I will never be satisfied,” Judge replied in the chat for Yes Network.

Aaron Judge’s self-criticism

For Judge, the Yankees advanced after the bitter taste of not making the playoffs in 2023 to reach the World Series a year later, but they failed to take the final step and that is what motivates them to return in 2025 and finish a dance they left unfinished.

“Motivated. 2023 left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth, especially the fact that we didn’t make it to the postseason for the first time. And then, to get to the dance and not finish the job definitely left a worse taste in our mouths. From Opening Day the season starts and we’ll be back to finish the dance,” said the ‘Judge’.Aaron Judge points out that for the 2025 mission, many new faces have arrived who contribute to keeping him motivated to achieve the goal of winning the World Series.
