Aaron Judge leaves more doubts with another disappointing performance and some sentence him: “He’s finished”

Major League Baseball season is just around the corner with Opening Day officially taking place in theTokyo Series, which will feature the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Chicago Cubs, who will face each other on March 18 and 19 with five Japanese players on the field.

For the rest of the teams, the action will start in just over a week, with the New York Yankees starting at home against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday, March 27 at noon. In the meantime, they will have to iron out details in a Spring Training that has become a nightmare due to numerous injuries led by the absence of Gerrit Cole for the rest of the year, along with other absentees such as Giancarlo Stanton, Luis Gil, Clarke Schmidt, among others.

Statistics are often misleading at this stage of preparation, the Yankees have a 11-10 record in the Cactus League 2025 and, in addition to the injured players, their offensive star Aaron Judge, has also had serious problems to calibrate in the preseason, a fact that although it may be anecdotal, has served for fans to join the conversation.

Aaron Judge’s poor numbers

Sportskeeda compiled the reactions of some fans to a hard fact published by MLB expert Dan Clark’s X account, which highlighted Aaron Judge’s .100 average in Spring Training 2025, with 2-for-20, 11 strikeouts and his only two hits were singles.

Many fans took the opportunity to criticize the ‘Judge’, who is on a downward spiral and they do not forget his disappointing performances at the plate during the recent World Series in which the Yankees lost to the Dodgers in five games.

“Does Aaron Judge know it’s spring training and not the postseason?” wrote one fan, while another understood the sarcasm and added: “The Dodgers broke him, hahaha.”

In his defense, there are those who chose to take it with and remembered that last season he did not have a very productive Spring Training and recorded his best numbers that led him to be chosen as the American League Most Valuable Player.

“He hit .208 last spring without hitting a home run and went on to have the best offensive season ever for a right-handed hitter. It’s good to know you’re still obsessed with the Yankees every day!” one fan posted, while another backed up his opinion: “Spring Training numbers don’t matter.”
