The New York Yankees are projected to make a stunning eight-player trade in an attempt to save their 2025 Major League Baseball season.

The Bronx Bombers continue to stumble after the 2025 MLB All-Star break, relinquishing the lead in the American League East to the Toronto Blue Jays, while exposing several weaknesses in the team.

Brian Cashman promises to make changes at the deadline

Brian Cashman, the general manager of the New York Yankees, has promised to make changes by saying: “Whether it’s with relievers or starting pitchers, it’s all that. We have people who are capable, but I think they also need a little help. And if I can do it, great. We’re going to be fully engaged and we’ll see where this takes us.”

The big change the New York Yankees are predicted to make

According to projections, the Yankees would make a big trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks: One day before MLB’s July 31 trade deadline, the Yankees get Eugenio Suarez, starting pitcher Merrill Kelly and left-handed reliever Jalen Beeks from the Diamondbacks.

In return, the Yankees send right-hander Clayton Beeter, top minor league pitching prospects Ben Hess and Bryce Cunningham, outfielder Everson Pereira and infielder Roc Riggio to Arizona.

This projection would allow the Yankees to keep top prospects George Lombard Jr., Spencer Jones and Cam Schlittler, who could be untouchable from the organization’s perspective. But with only 13 days to go before the projected date, pulling off an eight-player deal like this will be tricky.
