Yankees move past struggles and criticism, and feel ready to win: ‘Work in progress’

The Yankees have had tremendous bad luck as they prepare to face another campaign. The injuries to Gerrit Cole and Giancarlo Stanton could affect the performance of the New York franchise

It’s not just a matter of injuries, the Yankees suffered the loss of their star player, Juan Soto. The Dominican was a key player in reaching the final of the 2024 World Series and his absence will leave a huge gap to fill

It is true that they have some baseball players who can cover him, but the unknowns come for all the fans, which is why some within the Yankees hierarchy have already begun to take the pressure off and believe that they will get ahead despite the injuries that have undermined the squad.

Full confidence in Yankees

Brian Cashman, the general manager of the Yankees, spoke to the New York Post and has no concerns about injuries, even giving some words that have already excited the New York team’s fans.

” The roster is constantly changing, so it’s definitely different this year than it was at the end of last year. So we’re learning a lot about the new players,” said Brian in the interview

That wasn’t all, he made it clear that he has no worries about the injury:

“We’ve had some injuries to some of the previous players that were left behind. I think we have a talented team. Some of them will stay behind while they rehabilitate, but there have been some players who have stepped up and given us some comfort at the same time,” Cashman said

Carlos Carrasco and Will Warren to the rescue?

In 2025, the Yankees will bring in Carlos Carrasco and Will Warren, injecting freshness into their lineup. Carrasco, with 38 years of experience, made an excellent impression in the preseason, with a huge effectiveness.

Carlos earned his place based on good statistics, but there is a huge ‘but’, and that is that he is not very regular, something that generates distrust

While Will Warren shone in preseason with 19.1 innings, 19 strikeouts and a 4.19 ERA, a big jump from his 10.32 in 2024.

The pressure of wearing the Yankees pinstripes will do its thing, they will have to face this challenge in the best way, without losing their heads.
