Yankees compared to the worst teams in all of Major League Baseball

A statistic has been released that will leave New York Yankees fans in shock as they have been compared to the worst teams of the current season: the Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies. While the Bronx Bombers still have hopes of making the playoffs, the other two teams have their days numbered in the current campaign as they are last in their respective divisions.

The numbers indicate that the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies have won 15 games in the last 38 games. Yes, the Bronx Bombers, who have one of the highest payrolls in MLB, have the same record as two of the worst teams in Major League Baseball. Even a NY Yankees loss in combination with a win by Chicago and Colorado, would leave Aaron Boone’s team as one of the worst teams in recent weeks

What is the New York Yankees brand?

Situated in the American League East, the New York Yankees are in second place with a 57-48 record. This bad streak they have gone through, where of the last 20 games 12 have been losses, have left the lead in the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays who enjoy a 5.5 game lead. However, the Yankees’ slump could be compounded once the Boston Red Sox are one game away from sending them to third place in the zone.

This Monday, the New York team began a four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays, who are in fourth place in the same group. Although it looks like a trouble-free victory, the truth is that the Yankees are going through a terrible streak, and at the moment without the presence of Aaron Judge who has been sent to the injured list for 10 days.

The worst teams in MLB on par with New York Yankees

Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox have the worst record in the American League with a total of 38 wins and 68 losses and are at the bottom of the Central Division, which is led by the Detroit Tigers. The Windy City team faces the Philadelphia Phillies this week, who are in their own battle against the New York Mets to take control of the National League East.

Finally, the Colorado Rockies are the worst team in MLB with a record of 27 wins and 78 losses. One of the worst rosters of the last decade where the forecasts do not give them more than 40 wins in the current season. The Denver team faces the Cleveland Guardians this week, who are looking to qualify for the playoffs where their main obstacle is the Kansas City Royals.
