Xavier Worthy outraged at Chiefs after posting odd photo of him just before Super Bowl

The Buffalo Bills may not have realized it at the time, but they inadvertently handed a major offensive weapon to their AFC rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, in the 2024 NFL Draft. With the 28th overall pick, the Chiefs selected wide receiver Xavier Worthy, a player who wasted no time making an impact.

In his very first professional game, Worthy found the end zone, setting the stage for an impressive rookie campaign.

Across 17 games, including 13 starts, the speedy wideout racked up 638 receiving yards with six touchdowns, along with 104 rushing yards and three additional scores on the ground.

His playmaking ability has been instrumental in Kansas City’s continued dominance, and now, as they prepare for Super Bowl LIX on February 9, Worthy stands as a key piece of their championship aspirations.

Kansas City, already celebrating back-to-back Super Bowl victories, is on the verge of history. A third consecutive title would cement their dynasty, and the energy within the organization is electric.

The Chiefs‘ social media team has also been hyping up the excitement in creative ways-though one lighthearted post stirred up some unexpected controversy.

Worthy’s reaction to picture

On Wednesday, the Chiefs‘ official social media accounts shared childhood photos of several team superstars, including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones. The goal was to entertain fans and give them a nostalgic glimpse of their favorite players before they became NFL icons.

However, when it came to Xavier Worthy, the team picked a particularly amusing photo-one where the rookie wideout had his hands spread wide, making a funny face.

While it was all in good fun, Worthy seemed to take minor offense. He quickly responded on Instagram, reposting the image with the caption: “Yooo yall can’t be doin that.”

His reaction amused fans, adding another layer of personality to the team’s Super Bowl buildup. Despite the small social media stir, Worthy remains locked in, ready to prove himself on the NFL’s biggest stage.
