George Steinbrenner’s mansion, who was once the boss and owner of the New York Yankees, which is located on the waterfront in South Tampa, is up for sale. The late Bronx Bombers boss bought the house in 1986 and lived there for almost two decades.

Steinbrenner bought the team in 1973 for $10 million and spent the next 37 years transforming it into a dynasty and a spectacle. He won seven World Series titles and became as famous for his rules, rants and roster changes as he was for his rings

The club is now run by his son, Hal Steinbrenner, for the family. Still, for the right buyer, with $12 million one could sit in George Steinbrenner’s old backyard and remember the days when he ran the team with an iron fist.
