Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo could play in the Club World Cup with a team, even though Al-Nassr was unable to access the competition.

In an interview with iShowSpeed on the trophy tour, Gianni stated that efforts are being made for the Portuguese striker to sign with a team so that he can attend the tournament.

What did Gianni Infantino say about Cristiano Ronaldo at the Club World Cup?

“And Ronaldo could also play with one of the teams in the Club World Cup, there are talks with some clubs. So if any club is interested in signing Ronaldo for a Club World Cup, who knows, who knows, who knows, in a few weeks, it will be fun,” Infantino said.

It should be noted that FIFA allows Club World Cup participants to register up to 35 players, including up to six reinforcements, in a period from June 1 until June 10.

Monterrey would be looking for Cristiano Ronaldo for the Club World Cup

Several media outlets have pointed out that Rayados would be one of the clubs interested in Cristiano for the World Cup. However, no one from the Sultana del Norte has spoken about the issue.

The player has also not reacted to Infantino’s speculation on his social media channels.

It is unclear why a FIFA president would speculate on a player transfer, although Infantino has close ties to the Saudi state, which will host the 2034 World Cup and effectively controls Ronaldo’s contract.
