Former NFL star Aaron Donald has been granted a temporary restraining order by a Los Angeles court against a woman he claims has been stalking him and his family for several years.
The 33-year-old retired defensive tackle, widely considered a future Hall of Famer, filed the request in Los Angeles County Central District Court against Janelle Anwar, alleging escalating behavior that has left him fearing for the safety of his loved ones.

According to the court documents, Donald has accused Anwar of a disturbing pattern of harassment dating back to at least 2020.
This includes threatening messages, unsolicited packages addressed to his children, and more recently, alarming online communications involving threats toward his youngest son.
The court order mandates Anwar remain at least 100 yards away from Donald, his wife Erica, their four children, and his brother, while also barring her from possessing firearms or contacting him in any way.
Donald described Anwar’s behavior as dangerous and increasingly erratic.
“Respondent is delusional and I fear that Respondent’s delusions will lead to her attempting to harm me, my wife, my children, and my brother,” he stated in the court filing.
The petition alleges Anwar sent threatening emails four years ago and has continued to escalate her behavior since then.
Donald claims she sent gifts to his previous residence, including Amazon packages and balloons, addressed to his children, all under the age of 12.
One message reportedly included a $5 Zelle payment with the note, “I love you.”
Most recently, in March, Anwar allegedly sent threatening Google Chat messages targeting Donald’s 3-year-old son, Aaric.
The petition also reveals Anwar filed a petition for divorce from Donald last month, despite the two never having met, seeking spousal support and a multimillion-dollar settlement.
Donald says he only became aware of the filing through an alert from the NFL security office.
A court hearing is scheduled for May 7 to determine whether the temporary order will be extended into a long-term restraining order.
Donald retired from professional football in March 2024 after a decade-long career with the Los Angeles Rams, where he became one of the league’s most dominant defensive players.
