Courtney Vandersloot is back where it all began, and this time, she’s bringing even more love home.

As the WNBA star prepares for her return to the Chicago Sky for the 2025 season, she and her wife, former teammate Allie Quigley, have shared joyful news off the court: the couple has welcomed their first child.

Vandersloot and Quigley celebrate baby news

Born on April 8, baby Jana Christine Vandersloot Quigley marks a new chapter for one of the WNBA’s most beloved duos.

Vandersloot and Quigley, affectionately known by fans as “the VanderQuigs,” announced the birth with a heartfelt statement and a tender photo showing the couple holding their newborn daughter.

“We are over the moon to welcome our baby girl to the world,” they shared.

“We have been dreaming of this moment for a long time, and it’s better than we could have ever imagined!”

The announcement comes just weeks before Vandersloot officially suits up for her 13th season with the Sky, rejoining the team that drafted her in 2011.

Though she spent the past two seasons with the New York Liberty, earning a WNBA title in 2024, Chicago, she says, has always felt like home.

“Chicago is where it all started for me-it’s home, it’s family, and it’s a point guard’s dream,”Vandersloot said.

“The city, the fans, and the culture here have helped to shape the person I am today.”

Vandersloot’s return brings a wealth of experience and leadership to a Sky team entering a new era.

With five All-Star selections and a league-best record of assists, she remains one of the WNBA’s most accomplished floor generals.

Her chemistry with Quigley, both on and off the court, has long inspired fans, especially after the pair became the first married couple to win a pro sports championship together in 2021.

As the Sky prepare to open their season on May 17 against the Indiana Fever, fans will be eager to see Vandersloot back in action, and cheering from the stands may be a brand-new Sky supporter in baby Jana.
