The WNBA playoffs are on fire as the semi-finals have begun. The Las Vegas Aces, with A’ja Wilson leading the way, are ready to defend their title, despitenot having their best season. But their 27-13 record was enough to earn them a ticket to the playoffs as the fourth seed.
The third-seeded Connecticut Sun (28-12) are making their eighth consecutive playoff appearance in search of the title that eluded them in the 2019 and 2022 finals.
The Minnesota Lynx (30-10) enter the postseason as the second seed and thirsty for revenge after their first-round exit in the 2023 playoffs.
However, this year’s heavy favorite is theNew York Liberty (32-8). With Breanna Stewart in top form, the Liberty will have home-field advantage over the Aces.
WNBA Playoffs First Round
The first round was competed in a best-of-three series format.. On the 2024 WNBA Playoffs, a third match was not necessary in any of the matches.

- Las Vegas 83 -76 Seattle (Aces 2-0.)
- Indiana Fever 81 – 87 Connecticut Sun (Sun 2-0.).
- Phoenix Mercury 88 – 101 Minnesota Lynx (Minnesota 2-0).
WNBA Playoffs Semi-finals
New York and Las Vegas earned their spots in the second round after defeating Atlanta and Seattle, respectively. Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx joined them after beating Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury.
In contrast with First Round matches, the Semi-Finals are a best-of-five series.
