The 2025 WNBA Draft is nearly here, and all eyes are on the Dallas Wings.

After winning the lottery back in November, the Wings secured the coveted first overall pick, widely expected to be used on UConn’s Paige Bueckers. Just days removed from leading her team to a national championship, Bueckers is viewed as a generational talent-and the clear centerpiece of this draft class.

The stars of the 2025 WNBA Draft

But while Bueckers may be the headline act, the upcoming draft offers more than just one star.

With the league expanding to 13 teams and trades reshaping the draft board, eight of the top 12 picks have changed hands, general managers will be hunting for hidden gems and long-term contributors beyond the No. 1 pick.

Among the top names behind Bueckers is USC’s Kiki Iriafen, who emerged as a leader for the Trojans after JuJu Watkins went down.

Iriafen’s 36-point performance in a pivotal NCAA tournament game solidified her as a big-game player, and her seaon averages of 18 points and 8.4 rebounds speak to her consistency.

France’s Dominique Malonga brings international experience and Olympic seasoning to the table.

At 6-foot-6, she has the size and skill set WNBA teams crave in the paint.

Her averages of 15.4 points and 10.3 boards with ASVEL Féminin show she’s ready to make the leap.

From the ACC, Sonia Citron of Notre Dame has impressed as a two-way player.

She earned First-Team All-ACC and All-Defensive honors while putting up solid numbers across the board, making her a dependable option for teams looking to strengthen both ends of the floor.

Another frontcourt force is LSU’s Aneesah Morrow, who led the nation in rebounding and stacked up 29 double-doubles.

Her 30-point, 19-rebound performance in the Sweet 16 showcased her offensive growth and defensive dominance.

Finally, Hailey Van Lith of TCU has revived her draft stock with a standout season, earning Big 12 Player of the Year.

She’s a proven scorer, facilitator, and competitor, with valuable Olympic 3×3 experience to her name.

While Bueckers may steal the spotlight on draft night, these prospects have the talent and résumé to shape the future of the WNBA, and it all starts next Monday in New York.
