When the Indiana Fever visited the Seattle Storm on August 3, 2025, they put together a gutsy win on the road despite missing regning star Caitlin Clark. The team extended its win streak to five games, matching the franchise’s best run in the past decade.
With Clark out, Indiana improved to 9-7 in games she’s missed, proving their depth and resilience. The win bumped the Fever to 17-12, putting pressure on the top teams in the Eastern Conference as the postseason race heats up.
Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston power Indiana’s comeback
Natasha Howard spearheaded the effort with 21 points, stepping up on Clark’s absence, her seventh straight game missed, while Aliyah Boston delivered her signature inside work with 16 points and 12 rebounds, securing a double-double for the 38th time in her career, and the 14th of the season. Boston turned the tide in the fourth quarter, scoring nine consecutive points during a run that carried the Fever from a tight game to a more comfrotable 73-61 lead with about four minutes remaining.

Indiana holds off late Seattle charge
Seattle stormed back behind Nneka Ogwumike’s 16 points and Skylar Diggins, who chipped in with 13 cutting the lead to just one with a three-point play at the 3:14 mark, but Indiana responded. Kelsey Mitchell converted a high-pressure layup in the final eight seconds, and Aliyah Boston’s free throw in the closing seconds sealed a 78-74 win.
The Fever led 42-34 at halftime and extended the lead to 55-42 in the third quarter, before Seattle rallied to keep things tight entering the fourth. Despite going nearly four and a half minutes without a field goal late, Indiana’s defense and late-game composure saved the day.
