Micah Parsons has signed a four-year deal with the Green Bay Packers after three standout seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. The star defensive end arrives in Wisconsin with high expectations, aiming to achieve big things and strengthen the Packers’ pursuit of success in the green and gold.

Micah Parsons’ trade has been one of the most surprising moves in recent NFL history, sending Kenny Clark to the Dallas Cowboys while bringing the star defender to Green Bay. The blockbuster deal came after contract extension negotiations with Jerry Jones fell apart, paving the way for Parsons’ arrival. His arrival to Green Bay was the most anticipated moment in the city.

The first word of Micha Parson with Green Bay

Micah Parsons arrived in Green Bay and spoke to the media for the first time since being announced as the newest Packers player. During his introductory press conference, Parsons expressed his excitement about joining the four-time Super Bowl champions and embracing a fresh chapter in his NFL career.

“Winning is everything to me. I don’t think you’ll find a more competitive person on the team or anywhere in the NFL,” started Parson and added, “I don’t think you’ll find someone more competitive. I haven’t been on this stage before, so I don’t know exactly what it takes, but I have a funny feeling this program does. I trust Coach LaFleur, I really feel like we can do it, and I really want to win.”

Micah Parsons also addressed the high expectations surrounding his trade to Green Bay and the responsibility that comes with it. “I’m not going to lie, there are a lot of expectations, and I’d be a fool to think there isn’t pressure in the position I’m stepping into,” Parsons admitted during his first press conference.

“But that’s a blessing. It means they believe in me that much, that I’m that much of a future in this organization, and they’ve shown it in every way. That alone shows me the type of person I need to be in this building every day.” Parson added regarding his role inside the team.

Parsons shares his feelings on joining the Packers

There was plenty of buzz surrounding Micah Parsons’ situation with the Dallas Cowboys, especially after he officially requested a trade on August 1 without knowing where he would land. Nevertheless, since joining the Green Bay Packers, the star defender has expressed nothing but happiness and relief.

“I’m pretty lucky because I understand the rich history of the Packers and that they had interest in me,” Parsons said. “I know they already had a tough team in the NFC, and I was geared up to play them, looking for revenge.” The defensive end player concluded.
