Will Taylor Swift be at the Halftime Show with Kendrick Lamar? Here’s what we know about her possible appearance

The 2025 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles takes place on Sunday, February 9, and as every year, speculation about the halftime show has not been long in coming. This time, the chosen one to headline the show is Kendrick Lamar, the multi-award-winning rapper who promises a show full of energy and nostalgia for hip-hop fans.

However, what sets social media ablaze is the possibility that Taylor Swift will make a surprise appearance on stage alongside Lamar. Is it possible that the most influential pop star of the moment will join the show? Here’s what we know so far.

Will Kendrick Lamar invite Taylor Swift to the Super Bowl?

So far, the only artist confirmed to share the stage with Kendrick Lamar in the halftime show is SZA, with whom he has worked on songs such as All the Stars. However, the possibility of a surprise collaboration with Taylor Swift gained momentum due to their historic duet on Bad Blood, one of the American singer’s greatest hits.

The rumor is even more relevant because Swift has been in the public eye throughout the NFL season, attending multiple games to support her partner, Travis Kelce, star of the Kansas City Chiefs. With Kelce’s team in contention for the Vince Lombardi trophy, many believe the singer could take the opportunity to appear at halftime and provide an unforgettable moment.

Could Taylor Swift join the 2025 Super Bowl?

While there is no official confirmation, the NFL and the show’s organizers usually keep surprise appearances under wraps until the last minute. In the past, artists such as Beyonce and Bruno Mars have been invited without prior notice, leaving open the possibility that Taylor Swift could be the big ace up this year’s sleeve.

In addition, Swift’s relationship with the Super Bowl is not new. There has been speculation for years about her participation in the halftime show, but due to her contract with Coca-Cola (and the event’s sponsorship by Pepsi in previous years), her participation never materialized. Now that the sponsorship has changed, the way could be clear for her to finally make her debut on the biggest stage in American soccer.

When and where to watch the 2025 Super Bowl

Super Bowl LIX will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, with the game kicking off at 6:30 p.m. ET. The halftime show will take place at the end of the second quarter of the game, at approximately 8:00 p.m. ET, although the exact time will depend on the development of the game.
