After days of great expectation, the fight between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Terence Crawford, which was scheduled for September 2025, will not take place, as Marca reported early on Thursday.

Another problem with this fight is the weight at which it would be fought, where Canelo would have demanded that Crawford move up in weight, something that could be a risk for the American.
Terence Crawford moved up to 154 pounds to face Israil Madrimov, something that Amir Khan, a former Olympic medalist, does not recommend, as such weight gains detract from the opponent’s ability, something he suffered in his fight against Canelo
Jake Paul, the possible third wheel
In these stories there is a possible villain in the person of Jake Paul, who has been asking for a fight against Canelo after he accounted for Mike Tyson in November, in the most watched boxing event in history.
