Even though Selena Gomez is no stranger to the celebrity life and parties, it seems even she isn’t immune to making some faux-pas.
Gomez recently appeared on Spotify’s ‘Countdown To’ podcast with fiance Benny Blanco, and the couple talked about how they were left red faced by their knack for arriving early.
“As a couple, we went to Taylor’s [Taylor Swift] party after some awards show,” Gomez said.
“Apparently cool people don’t show up to parties on time.”
Blanco couldn’t help but take jabs at Gomez and her overly punctual nature, as he noted they always show up to events right on the dot.
“We’re the first people at every single party when I go with you,” he said before joking, “You, like, show up when my mother shows up to a party.”

From there Blanco said he thought Gomez was going to talk about being embarrassed that they were still seemingly “hiding” their relationship at Swift’s party.
“We didn’t even, like, touch each other or, like, really look at each other,” Blanco said.
“If, like, a girl came up to me or something, you were like, ‘Hmm’.”
Gomez denied that was the case, politely responding with: “No! Stop, don’t say that.”
It isn’t known which parties Gomez and Blanco were referring to, though they were seen kissing during a trip to New York City for Swift’s birthday in December 2023.
That’s the same month that Gomez confirmed she had been dating Blanco for months.
Gomez and Blanco worked hard to keep their relationship under wraps for months, with Blanco noting that one of his favorite dates was when they dressed up in disguises in order to walk around the Santa Monica Pier.
“I remember having so much fun being with you ’cause we could just fully let go and not worry about anything else,” he said. “We rode the Ferris wheel, and we got corn dogs and cotton candy.”
“It was so cute,” Gomez agreed.
