Since Caitlin Clark arrived in Indiana after being drafted by the Fever, everything seems to be going better for both basketball teams in the state. Thanks to Clark, the WNBA could generate up to $1 billion in revenue this season, according to finance expert Ryan Brewer.

Clark was responsible for 26.5% of the WNBA’s economic activity in 2024, encompassing ticket sales, merchandise, and television revenue. The Fever and the league are pocketing millions thanks to her. But why is the WNBA star also considered a good luck charm for the Pacers?

Clark holds 7-0 record in Pacers’ playoff run

Clark, who is currently sidelined with a quad injury, has been a regular presence at the Pacers’ NBA playoff home games. She cheered on the team in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, where Indiana defeated the New York Knicks and booked their spot in the NBA Finals.

That marked Caitlin’s 7-0 streak during the Pacers’ playoff run – every time she attends a game, the Pacers win. Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, and company will now face the best team from the regular season and the league’s current MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Pacers fans are hoping to see Clark in the building to get all the luck on their side.

The Pacers will start the NBA Finals on the road in Oklahoma City, then host the Thunder in Games 3 and 4. Tyrese Haliburton, a friend of Clark’s, has been a fundamental part of the Pacers’ return to the NBA Finals-25 years later.

Clark has shown her support for the Pacers since moving to Indiana, and this postseason she labeled the team as “the greatest comeback team I’ve ever seen.” She also showed support for Haliburton’s dad after his return from a league suspension.
