LeBron James is a major NBA star in every sense of the word. Both on and off the court, the Los Angeles Lakers player never loses his style and understands perfectly how to remain at the forefront of everything happening around him.

Despite losing his primary role within the Los Angeles lineup, James has not lost intensity or passion for the sport he loves so much. He is always attentive to what unfolds on the court and gives everything he has so that the team competes for every ball throughout the entire game.

This comes up because, after the game they played this past Thursday, March 18, 2026, when they faced the Houston Rockets and secured a 116-124 victory, afterward, despite dealing with elbow discomfort, he stopped to give an interview to ESPN reporter Lisa Salter.

LeBron James is always attentive to reporters

Even with pain and significant discomfort in his elbow, after the game and with joy on his face following the win, James paused to speak with Salter.

I’m going to throw some ice on it as soon as I get to the locker room. That’s why I kind of ran off. But, you know, I love you. You’re awesome. So I had to come back and do this interview for you.

LeBron James

Despite the urgency LeBron had to get to the locker room to have his elbow treated, he did not hesitate to share a few comments with the ESPN reporter. It is worth remembering that this Thursday, March 19, they will face the Miami Heat.

The problem with LeBron James’ elbow

LeBron delivered a pass to Luka Doncic, who intended to dunk the ball; however, Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. attempted to stop James and, unintentionally, swung his elbow downward. Due to the force and inertia, it ended up striking the floor.

After this, Bron was seen shaking his arm as if trying to ease or dissipate the pain. The play was reviewed, but it did not go beyond a foul. Fortunately for the Los Angeles team, James was able to continue playing and did so at a very high level.

Once the game concluded, James addressed the incident and assured that he felt better and hoped to be ready for tonight’s game against the Heat.

But I’ll take care of myself and hopefully be ready tomorrow night.

LeBron

He told the ESPN reporter.

With this result, the Lakers remain in third place in the Western Conference, continuing their push toward the postseason.
