The Argentine star is continuing his recovery process from an adductor injury that prevented him from participating in Argentina’s recent matches. During an open training session, Messi interacted with Inter Miami fans, generating excitement ahead of his return to the pitch.
Lionel Messi, Inter Miami captain, is in the final stages of recovery from a low-grade injury to the adductor muscle, suffered during the match against Atlanta United on March 15, 2025. This injury prevented him from being part of the Argentina squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil.
Last Monday, Messi took part in an open training session at Chase Stadium. He started the practice with his teammates, but later did different exercises to avoid straining the affected area. At the end, he was seen applying ice to his left leg, indicating caution in his recovery process.
Messi is expected to miss next Saturday’s match against Union and the first leg of the Concachampions quarter-final in Los Angeles against LAFC. On April 6, he is expected to play a few minutes at Chase Stadium against Toronto FC.
