The exhibition fight between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis is set for November 14. Social media went wild after Paul and Davis’ face off, where the influencer, turned boxer, looked insanely bigger than ‘Tank’.
A photo posted by an MMA podcast called ‘Show Me The Money Podcast’ started the frenzy, but the picture is clearly altered to make Davis look tiny.
Size difference between Paul and Davis
Fact check time! Paul is listed at 6’1″, and his last fight was as a cruiserweight, which has a 200 pound weight limit.
Meanwhile, Tank is listed at 5’5″, and the last time he stepped into the ring was as a lightweight, which has a 135 pound limit.
This huge gap in weight is the reason why the fight had to be moved from Atlanta to Miami. The Georgia commission refused to sanction a matchup between boxers with such an extreme size difference, even though the fight is just an exhibition.
