Now the Dallas Cowboys will know what to do with Dak Prescott and company. The Cowboys will face the Atlanta Falcons at AT&T Stadium in Dallas in the final preseason game.

It is not easy for the blue and silver what is coming in 2025. They are direct rivals of the Eagles, current champions, and with problems in the office, uncertainties with some players and so many etceteras, this game seems perfect to finish adjusting pieces.

Match details between Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons

For some, this game will be just a rehearsal; for others, it is their last chance to earn a spot on the final roster.

Game: Dallas Cowboys vs Atlanta Falcons

  • Date: Friday, August 22, 2025
  • Time: 8:00 p.m. ET | 7:00 p.m. CT
  • Stadium: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas
  • National TV: NFL Network
  • Local TV: KTVT/CBS 11 (Dallas), WAGA FOX 5 (Atlanta)
  • Streaming: NFL+, Fubo
  • Radio: 105.3 The Fan | Spanish broadcast: Telemundo 39, 107.5 FM

This game is crucial for the Cowboys to make adjustments.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer has not been satisfied with what he has seen in the first two preseason games. This game will be crucial to measure adjustments:

I’m not happy with our level of play. This match is an opportunity to clean up details and evaluate individual performance before the start of the season

Brian Schottenheimer, HC de Dallas Cowboys.

Players and battles to watch between the Falcons and Cowboys

  • Jaydon Blue (RB, Cowboys) – The fifth-round rookie is set to make his debut after a heel injury. His explosiveness could earn him significant playing time on offense from Week 1.
  • Joe Milton (QB, Cowboys) – He will make his third consecutive preseason start as he looks to secure the QB2 spot behind Dak Prescott.
  • Phil Mafah vs. Miles Sanders (RB, Cowboys) – Both are competing for the last spot in the running back rotation. Mafah has had a better preseason.
  • Last WR spots – With Jonathan Mingo injured, Jalen Tolbert took the lead for the WR3 spot. Ryan Flournoy, Jalen Brooks and Traeshon Holden are playing their last cards.
  • Ben DiNucci (QB, Falcons) – The former Dallas player could have important minutes against his former team due to the absences of Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins.

Dallas’ NFL preseason ends

Now we have to see what the teams get out of this match. The Cowboys are embroiled in contract disputes, injuries and ailments. But Prescott seems to be fine.

  • Cowboys (0-2): They are looking for offensive rhythm and to test secondary weapons. Dak Prescott will not play; everything points to evaluating the depth in key positions.
  • Falcons (0-2): They adjust the offense without Penix Jr. or Cousins, with DiNucci and Easton Stick sharing snaps. The team also released DJ Chark and Emory Jones, moving pieces for the final roster.

More than a friendly game, Falcons vs Cowboys will be a final exam for substitutes, rookies and “bubble” players. For Dallas, it is the last chance to find offensive fluidity before debuting on September 4. For Atlanta, the goal is to give minutes to young players and confirm who will fill the final roster.
