The Inter Miami co-owner was approached by a Sky News reporter on Tuesday while attending the World Economic Forum’s 56th Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. As Beckham posed for photos with female fans, the reporter asked whether he had a message for his son Brooklyn Beckham following the younger Beckham‘s critical social media posts about his parents.
David Beckham’s stance on the public backlash
Beckham briefly turned his head toward the reporter but continued walking without responding. When the question was repeated and followed by a query about whether he was disappointed that family matters were being aired publicly, the 50-year-old did not look back or engage.
The moment came a day after Brooklyn Beckham posted a multi-slide Instagram Story in which he accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of being “controlling.” In the post, the 26-year-old detailed what he described as longstanding tension with his family, including claims about strained communication and conflict surrounding his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn alleged that when he attempted to meet with his father, it was under the condition that Peltz not be present, which he characterized as deeply hurtful. He also claimed that during a visit to Los Angeles, his family refused to see him. The “Cookin’ With Brooklyn” host further accused Victoria Beckham of canceling plans to make Peltz‘s wedding dress shortly before the ceremony and behaving inappropriately during the wedding, echoing previous reports that the incident caused significant strain.
Brooklyn is standing up for his wife
In his statement, Brooklyn defended Peltz against suggestions that she has influenced his relationship with his parents. He wrote that stepping away from his family has eased anxiety he says he lived with for most of his life and allowed him to find peace. Brooklyn and Peltz have been together since 2019, married in 2022, and renewed their vows in August 2025 in a ceremony he said was meant to replace painful memories from their wedding day.
