Players often go too far with their words, especially the young ones. They forget that those remarks can come back like a boomerang when they least expect it.
Recently, wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson departed the New York Giants and, far from sounding grateful toward his former franchise, he lashed out at his former teammates, particularly the quarterbacks, both Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart.
Robinson left the Big Apple for the country music capital and will now provide his services to the Tennessee Titans after signing a new four-year contract worth $78 million on March 12, 2026.
In this way, he is expected to become the top option for quarterback Cam Ward heading into the 2026 season.
Wan’Dale Robinson went too far against his former quarterbacks
The now-Titans receiver did not hold back when criticizing his former signal-callers. He fired sharp remarks directly aimed at Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart.
Those comments came this past Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
For a lot of my career, I haven’t had that one guy back there playing quarterback.”…”It’ll be nice to know that we got our guy. Just watching a little bit of stuff that I’ve been able to see of him and I’m like, ‘Yeah I can’t wait to get back there with him.
Robinson said on “The OTP – Official Titans Podcast.”
Wan’Dale Robinson’s time with the New York Giants
The receiver, who now seems to have forgotten his time with former teammates, played for the New York Giants from 2022 to 2025 and posted the following numbers:
- 2,272 yards
- 15 touchdowns
The truth is that these were not particularly spectacular figures for a player taken in the first round of the draft. The 2025 season was not bad, but it could have been better:
- 1,014 yards
- 92 receptions
- WR1 for the Giants
With Robinson’s departure, the Giants continue their rebuilding process to provide more weapons for Jaxson Dart ahead of the 2026 season.
Robinson is happy to join the Titans
The receiver explained the reasons behind his decision to move to Tennessee to reporter Jim Wyatt.
There were a couple of other teams in the mix, but this is where I wanted to be.”….”I felt like it was the perfect marriage, a perfect timing type thing.
Robinson said and also noted that his familiarity with Brian Daboll played a key role in his choice.
Being close to home and being able to have my family be at all my football games, that was important.
Lastly, the receiver said he trusts new head coach Robert Saleh to guide the team in the right direction as they aim to compete at a higher level and restore credibility across the organization again
