Von Miller, one of the NFL’s most accomplished pass rushers, is set to join the Washington Commanders on a one-year contract. The 36-year-old linebacker announced his decision on social media, signaling the beginning of his 16th season in the league.
Miller, who spent the last three years with the Buffalo Bills, is now focused on bringing his experience and leadership to Washington as they aim for a Super Bowl appearance.
Miller’s NFL career began in 2011 when he was selected second overall by the Denver Broncos. Over the years, he has established himself as one of the league’s premier edge rushers, accumulating 129.5 sacks, which places him 16th on the NFL’s all-time sack list.
Along the way, he has earned eight Pro Bowl selections and been named a first-team All-Pro three times.
The crowning achievements of Miller’s career came in the postseason. He was named Super Bowl 50 MVP after leading the Broncos’ defense to a victory over the Carolina Panthers, and he added another Super Bowl title to his resume with the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI.

Last season, Miller played 13 games for the Bills, recording six sacks and 17 tackles. Despite serving a four-game suspension due to a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy, he returned to form in the latter half of the season. Commanders’ defensive strategy
