Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua is at the center of a heated dispute that has escalated far beyond an initial allegation, one that involves claims of being bitten and accused of antisemitic remarks during a New Year’s Eve gathering in Los Angeles.
New video footage from that night has emerged, offering more context and prompting renewed public debate as both sides push their contrasting narratives.
The situation began with a woman identified as Madison Atiabi filing a police report and a civil action against Nacua, alleging that during a late-night encounter, he “sank his teeth” into her shoulder with enough force to break the skin and that, earlier in the evening, he made a profane antisemitic comment.
These claims have drawn widespread attention, given Nacua‘s status as one of the NFL‘s most productive young offensive players.
Emerging video deepens scrutiny
The newly public video, obtained by media outlets, shows Atiabi dancing near an apparently unconscious Nacua in the back of a Sprinter van after the alleged biting incident occurred. This clip does little to directly confirm the physical allegation but has added nuance to the sequence of events as described in court filings.
In the clip, the Rams receiver is seen passed out as music blares and a group continues to party around him.
The juxtaposition of Nacua‘s motionless state with the accuser’s activity has been interpreted in different ways by observers on social media and in comment sections, some suggesting the footage could undercut elements of Atiabi‘s account, while others say it simply captures moments outside the critical interaction.

Some threads highlight that a judge denied Atiabi‘s request for a temporary restraining order, a procedural outcome that doesn’t equate to exoneration but reflects specific legal standards for such orders absent evidence of ongoing danger.
Nacua‘s legal team has forcefully rejected the accusations. Attorney Levi McCathern labeled the claims as false and suggested they are part of an extortion attempt, asserting that the accuser sought a substantial financial payoff to keep her allegations private. McCathern also said sober witnesses deny that the alleged antisemitic remark was ever uttered.
