During a heated match between the Mets de Guaynabo and the Vaqueros de Bayamón, former NBA player DeMarcus Cousins was involved in an unfortunate altercation with several fans. The incident took place in Puerto Rico’s BSN league, where he currently plays, and quickly went viral on social media.
In a video circulating on platforms like X, Cousins can be seen visibly upset as he leaves the court. Amid shouting and insults from the crowd, the player responded with provocative gestures, including one considered obscene. The tension escalated when a fan showed him the middle finger, to which the basketball player reacted physically by pushing the hand away.
Other fans joined the confrontation with slaps and insults, while Cousins continued arguing with them. As the tension grew, several teammates intervened to calm him down, preventing the situation from escalating further. However, the player was escorted out of the area by security after being ejected.
