Victus bats: where to buy and how much do the Yankees’ torpedo bats that have revolutionized MLB cost?

The Bates Torpedo have been one of the main stories in MLB after the New York Yankees hit nine home runs in a single game to set a new record for the historic franchise.

The New Yorkers hit four more home runs in their game on Sunday, both against the Milwaukee Brewers, which further increased the controversy over the use of the new bats.

Now, two days later, a manufacturer is offering versions of the new bats to order.

Torpedo bats can be custom ordered

On Monday night, bat manufacturers Marucci and Victus, both owned by the same company, unveiled three Torpedo bats each on their website, with prices ranging from $199 to $209. The bats will be made to order and promise shipping within a week.

The bats, which shift more mass toward the sweet spot of the barrel, have caused a stir after the Yankees’ great start.

Jared Smith, president of Victus, said that in 15 years of working in bat manufacturing, nothing had ever impressed him as much as the new torpedo bats.

“Of course we’re going to try it,” Smith said, adding that both the Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles had been testing the bats in their laboratory.

Despite experimenting with the idea for more than a year, Smith said he is not convinced that it is time to go for the Torpedo, Yahoo Sports reported.

“Surely, they will stay here forever. I’m not sure if it will dominate the league or if it will be just a passing fad,” Smith said.

While young impressionable players who have been buying gloves to sweep on the pads, as well as high-end batting gloves and pencil bats, will surely like to try the Torpedo bat.

Now the company Smith runs will test the same design with metal bats and check its functionality.

“The Torpedo has definitely become popular,” Smith said.
