Victoria Beckham is reportedly growing increasingly concerned that her sons’ dating lives could threaten the Beckham family’s carefully curated global brand, as the matriarch seeks to protect her family.
With a net worth of approximately $500 million, the Beckham name is associated with luxury, success, and, perhaps most importantly, a clean public image which is something the former Spice Girl is determined to protect.
But recent events have left the 50-year-old particularly uneasy, as her 22-year-old son Romeo‘s love life has taken a dramatic turn thanks to his highly publicized breakup with his longtime girlfriend, Mia Regan.
This has been followed by a whirlwind of new romantic connections, raising concerns over the optics of his behavior and according to sources close to the family, Victoria has urged all of her sons to be mindful of how they handle their relationships in the public eye.
“Vic has always had an open-door policy for her kids’ romantic interests,” an insider revealed to RadarOnline.com. “But let’s be real, she’s had to remind them, especially Romeo, that when it comes to moving on, a little decorum wouldn’t hurt!
“Mia was practically an honorary Beckham,” the source added. “Picture this: five whole years of family holidays and daily life included in the mix. It’s no surprise Vic felt a pang of sadness when the Romeo-Mia chapter came to a close. The last thing she wants is for Mia to feel hurt by any of Romeo’s antics.”
Victoria worries about Romeo’s latest fling
It’s true. Mia was deeply embedded in the Beckham family dynamic considering the couple dated for nearly five years, spent holidays together and attended family events, making her departure from their lives particularly difficult for Victoria.
And now Romeo‘s new relationship Kim Turnbull, a 23-year-old model and DJ, has only intensified Victoria’s concerns with their recent vacation to the Turks and Caicos suggests that things are getting serious.
However, she remains cautious about how quickly her son has moved on, particularly given the emotional investment the family had in his previous relationship, aware of the risks that come with welcoming new partners into the family.
And this is not the first time she has had such concerns of potential leaks, controversies, and unwanted media attention. Her eldest son Brooklyn‘s dating history was once a source of stress before he ultimately settled down with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
