Vanessa Bryant responds to pregnancy rumors at the US Open after a busy summer

Vanessa Bryant addressed the persistent pregnancy rumors that circulated over the summer, dismissing them once again while attending the U.S. Open with her two youngest daughters, Bianka and Capri.

The rumors initially surfaced in June when Vanessa was spotted in a dress that allegedly suggested a baby bump as social media erupted, fueled by AI-generated images and videos falsely linking her to pregnancy and even to the Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown.

Vanessa responded decisively on her Instagram Story, sharing a meme of Rihanna with the caption: “Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer.”

And despite initial backlash, Kobe‘s widow’s calm response set the record straight. Recently, she posted again while sipping a Honey Deuce, the U.S. Open‘s signature cocktail.

“Enjoying my honey-deuce. Keep me posted on how this imaginary pregnancy rumor is coming along. 24 years later…same rumor,” Vanessa wrote via Instagram, drinking alcohol to prove she isn’t with child.

The post referenced her marriage to Kobe Bryant in 2001 and their first child, Natalia, born in 2003, highlighting her long-established family life and experience when it comes to speculation.

At the US Open in Queens, New York, Vanessa was courtside watching the United States‘ Amanda Anisimova compete against defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, just months after the American’s tough Wimbledon finals loss to Iga Swiatek.

She attended with her daughters, the eight-year-old Bianka and six-year-old Capri, who twinned in matching dresses and large bows, creating a picture-perfect family moment.

Vanessa‘s radiant presence and her children’s joyful smiles drew attention from fans and photographers alike as she looks to move above the noise surrounding her personal life.

It came after the recent rumors involving Brown, which were entirely fabricated as social media users shared AI-generated images and videos implying a relationship between Vanessa and the Celtics star, as well as false claims about her daughter Natalia disowning her.

Vanessa‘s focus on family and her personal life reflects a broader commitment to honoring Kobe Bryant‘s legacy and seeing Vanessa attend the US Open with her daughters, enjoying the atmosphere and the Honey Deuce, reinforces her dedication to living fully and fostering meaningful experiences with her family.

Sabalenka hands Anisimova second heartbreak of 2025 at US Open Final

Aryna Sabalenka successfully defended her US Open women’s singles title, defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) in New York to win the fourth Grand Slam title of her career.

It was also her second consecutive victory at Flushing Meadows, making her the first woman to repeat since Serena Williams in 2014, as she shrugged off earlier heartbreak at the Australian Open and French Open.

“I want to thank everyone who came here,” Sabalenka said after the game. “Who flew in to be there in my box.

“I’m going to reach a lot more finals and I don’t care where you are in the world I want you in my box.”

Anisimova, seeking redemption 56 days after her Wimbledon defeat, struggled early, dropping serve immediately and extending her run of losing games in Grand Slam finals to 14.

Despite fighting back in the second set and forcing a tie-break, her 29 unforced errors, including seven double faults, ultimately proved decisive in the match, played under a closed roof due to rain.
