USMNT star Christian Pulisic inspires youth with upcoming children’s book release

With his boots still laced and his football journey thriving, Christian Pulisic is turning the page in a surprising new direction.

Already regarded as one of the brightest stars in the United States men’s national soccer team (USMNT) thanks to his achievements with AC Milan and his leadership for Team USA, Pulisic is now setting his sights on younger fans and a very different kind of field.

Pulisic’s decision to sit out the November friendlies with the USMNT created a perfect opportunity for him to make an important personal announcement. Rather than taking a complete break from public life, he chose to share something aimed specifically at children who love soccer.

On his Instagram account, he revealed that he had co-created his first children’s book titled Christian’s Soccer Superpowers, which is scheduled for release on April 28, 2026 – strategically arriving just months before the 2026 World Cup. The timing is no coincidence: it allows young fans to connect with Pulisic’s story as the soccer world turns its attention to North America.

Inspiring the next generation

In announcing the book, Pulisic expressed his excitement and gratitude toward the illustrator, Marta Kissi, whose colorful and engaging illustrations bring the story to life.

On Instagram, Pulisic wrote about how the book explores themes of focus, determination, and confidence – qualities that have defined his career. The message is clear: true “superpowers” aren’t measured in goals or trophies alone, but in belief, perseverance, and teamwork.

Beyond the story itself, the book represents a broader effort by Pulisic to give back to young fans in ways that extend beyond his athletic performance. His journey, from growing up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, to starring at top clubs in Europe, has long served as an example for aspiring players in the U.S.

Now, by partnering with Penguin Kids to produce a children’s picture book aimed at ages 48, he is providing a tool for parents and educators to inspire confidence and resilience in children, on and off the pitch.

For young soccer enthusiasts, the book offers an opportunity to see themselves reflected in the experiences of a role model who has succeeded through hard work and dedication. By sharing his own story, Pulisic encourages kids not just to chase their dreams but to embrace challenges, collaborate with teammates, and discover the strength within themselves.

Pulisic’s latest move may be off the field, but its potential impact is enormous. Through Christian’s Soccer Superpowers, he has extended his influence from being an elite athlete to becoming an intentional mentor and storyteller, inspiring the next generation to pursue their passions with determination and heart.
