Mexico wins its 10th Gold Cup with a 2-1 win over the United States men’s national team in Houston.
The USA pounced early in the game on Chris Richards’ header that gave them the lead inside five minutes, but Mexico then responded with Raul Jimenez’s goal before the half. Then it was Edson Alvarez who notched the game-winner on a header that was initially called offside before being overruled by VAR.
