The 125th US Open Golf Championship returns to Oakmont Country Club from June 12-15, 2025, bringing together the world’s top golfers from both PGA Tour and LIV Golf for one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments.

The iconic Oakmont Country Club, which has hosted the US Open more times than any other venue in tournament history, will once again provide a challenging backdrop for the world’s elite golfers. Known for its difficult conditions and demanding terrain, Oakmont has consistently produced memorable championships throughout its storied history. This edition of the US Open promises to be particularly special as it marks the 125th playing of this prestigious tournament, with a star-studded field featuring the very best golfers on the planet competing for glory on one of golf’s grandest stages.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler enters as the tournament favorite, though he’s still seeking his first US Open title. The field also features defending champion Bryson DeChambeau, Masters champion Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Xander Schauffele among the top contenders. The convergence of talent from both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf circuits ensures that fans will witness a truly world-class competition as these golfers navigate Oakmont’s legendary challenges in pursuit of a career-defining championship.

Featured groups and tee times

The USGA has announced the complete tee times for the first round of the 2025 US Open, featuring several marquee groupings that will draw significant attention.

  • In the morning wave, fans can look forward to watching Ludvig Ã…berg, Adam Scott, and Hideki Matsuyama teeing off at 7:18 a.m. EDT, followed by the powerhouse group of Xander Schauffele, Jose Luis Ballester, and defending champion Bryson DeChambeau at 7:29 a.m. Rounding out the morning’s featured groups, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, and Rory McIlroy will start their tournament at 7:40 a.m.
  • The afternoon session brings equally compelling groupings, with Min Woo Lee, Justin Thomas, and Brooks Koepka beginning at 1:03 p.m. Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm, and Dustin Johnson will follow at 1:14 p.m., while tournament favorite Scottie Scheffler will play alongside Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa in the 1:25 p.m. group. These strategically crafted pairings ensure that viewers will have compelling golf to watch throughout the entire first day of competition, with standout players distributed across both morning and afternoon sessions.

Broadcast schedule and how to watch

Golf fans will have comprehensive viewing options for the 2025 US Open, with coverage spread across multiple networks and streaming platforms. NBC and USA Network will handle the television broadcast throughout all four rounds, with USA Network exclusively covering the first-round action on Thursday, June 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT, followed by Peacock from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For the second round on Friday, June 13, early coverage will air on Peacock from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., before shifting to NBC from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the late coverage returning to Peacock from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The weekend rounds follow a similar pattern, with Saturday’s third-round coverage beginning on USA Network from 10 a.m. to noon, then moving to NBC from noon until 8 p.m.

Sunday’s final round starts on USA Network from 9 a.m. to noon before NBC takes over for the championship conclusion from noon until 7 p.m. For streaming options, fans can access complete tournament coverage on Peacock, usopen.com, the USGA app, and Fubo.

Peacock will also offer their special “US Open All-Access” whiparound coverage throughout all four tournament days, providing viewers with a comprehensive and flexible way to follow all the action from Oakmont.
