Arare trading card of Allen Iverson has sold for a whopping $701,500 at auction, surpassing the previous record for a trading card of the former NBA player.
The 1997 Skybox E-X 2001 Essential Credentials Now card, graded five by PSA, was sold by Heritage Auctions for nearly three quarters of a million dollars, making it the most expensive Iverson piece ever.
The previous record for the most expensive Allen Iverson card ever sold was $80,000.

Only three of the Skybox Allen Iverson cards were made.
The most optimistic forecasts suggested that this historic Iverson card could reach a value of $200,000, which it clearly exceeded at auction.
There were 58 bids for Iverson’s chrome and the identity of the buyer is unknown.
