Tyson Fury claims who can dethrone Oleksandr Usyk in the Heavyweight division

Oleksandr Usyk, the reigning heavyweight champion, has confirmed that he is one of the best boxers in the world today. His outstanding performances have allowed him to defeat the best exponents such as Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dobouis, Derek Chisora, Chazz Witherspoon and Tyson Fury. However, the latter, who has been defeated on a couple of occasions by the Ukrainian, has declared who could take away his unbeaten record and take away his throne of honor.

Usyk has a record of 24 victories, 15 of which have been by knockout. In 12 years of career and at 36 years of age, the Ukrainian is on the verge of retirement. However, the leading promoter of the moment, Turki Alalshikh, has confirmed that the Ukrainian still has some fights ahead of him and several prospects have been lined up for 2026.

The rival who could beat Usyk according to Tyson Fury

For the well-known “Gipsy King” there is a boxer who has stood out from the rest of the young pugilists. It is the heavyweight of 20-year-old British boxing Moses Itauma who proved that all the expectation around him was justified on August 16, when he defeated Dillian Whyte by technical knockout in the first round in a brutal manner. The great prospect looked flawless in what was supposed to be the toughest test of his career so far, as he looked faster and stronger than his opponent.

While there is no doubt that the best exponents of the heavyweight division already had their eyes on Itauma before he faced Whyte, he will be firmly on their radar at this point, and it will be fascinating to see who he faces next. Turki Alalshikh already knows who he wants Itauma to face. The Ring magazine reported that he prefers Itauma to face the undisputed and undefeated heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in his next fight.

Tyson Fury claims Moses Itauma would ‘smash’ Usyk

If this fight were to happen, not all world-class heavyweights are afraid to mention Itauma. “I keep getting asked about young Moses Itauma fighting Oleksandr Usyk and other big names. In my opinion, not as someone who doesn’t know boxing, but as someone who has been there and won all the belts, everything you can win in boxing and has done very well: boxing is a young man’s game.”

“Like I told Wladimir Klitschko when he was 37, boxing is a young man’s thing and it doesn’t wait for anybody. So this is the opinion, you heard it here first: Moses Itauma will tear through all those veterans of the division,” Fury added. “Usyk, Anthony Joshua, Jarrell Miller. Whoever it is that’s old, Zhilei Zhang, fuck whoever it is. Luis Ortiz. All those big names from the past. And even the current world champion, who had my belts taken away from him and given to him, Usyk. Moses will destroy him,” Fury concluded.
