In an arena where the home crowd made a difference for the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton delivered 18 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, shooting 5/7 from the field and 4/5 from three in his first 13 minutes on the court. These are truly otherworldly stats.
With this performance, he made history in the first quarter.
As reported by the NBA, Haliburton became only the second player in the play-by-play era (since 1998) to record 15+ points, 5+ rebounds, and 5+ assists in a single quarter. The only other player to achieve this was LeBron James himself.
By the end of the game, with his father watching from the stands, Tyrese Haliburton tallied 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds for a triple-double that propelled his team to within one win of the NBA Finals.
