It will be a while before fans can see Tyrese Haliburton back on the court, showcasing his magical plays and his unique ability to make complex situations look effortless. In the meantime, however, Haliburton has taken the opportunity to speak on a variety of NBA topics. Among his comments, he specifically praised Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

In his remarks, the Indiana Pacers star emphasized the deep admiration he holds for Curry’s skill and impact on the game. It’s important to remember that Stephen Curry is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history, having defined an era with his style of play and poised to be a future Hall of Famer.

Stephen Curry one of the best players in the history of NBA

Without a doubt, Stephen Curry has defined an era for the Golden State Warriors, not only through his exceptional skills but also through his leadership, which has guided the team to four NBA championships, firmly establishing him as the cornerstone of the franchise.

His exceptional play has inspired many to elevate their game and give their best in every match. One of those players is Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, who, due to an Achilles injury, will unfortunately be sidelined for the next season.

Tyrese Haliburton had an impressive 2024-25 season, leading the Pacers to the NBA Finals, where they were narrowly defeated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in a thrilling seven-game series, losing 4-3. Haliburton knows what is the feeling of facing Curry, a player that he hold his maximum respect and admiration for his illustrious career.

There, the Indiana Pacers guard appeared on The Young Man and the Three, a well-known basketball podcast hosted by Tommy Alter, where Haliburton shared his thoughts and admiration for the Warriors’ star, Stephen Curry.

“Steph is the greatest human being I’ve met in basketball. I’ve never met a better person,” Haliburton began, praising Curry. He added, “The thing about it is, I’ve never heard anybody say anything bad about Steph as a human being. He is so unbelievable, the way he can remember people, he cares about people. I just can’t say enough good things about Steph.”

Tyrese Haliburton praises Stephen Curry’s unmatched work ethic

The praise for Stephen Curry didn’t stop there, as Tyrese Haliburton also highlighted his work ethic, portraying Curry as a true role model. “Steph was just that guy for me. After every practice, I’d think, ‘I’ve got to work out with Steph. I’ve got to do what he’s doing.’ He would call me over like, ‘C’mon Ty, we’re going to work out.’ I can’t say enough good things about him.”

While Tyrese Haliburton recovers from the devastating injury he suffered in the Finals, Stephen Curry is gearing up for a memorable season, with one clear goal: to capture a fifth NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors.
