Tyreek Hill has a blunt response when asked about Travis Hunter: He’s gonna be a*s

Tyreek Hill has never been shy when it comes to speaking his mind, and the Miami Dolphins star wide receiver is once again making headlines for his unfiltered take – this time aimed at Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter.

During a recent appearance on The Pivot Podcast, Hill was asked what he thought about Hunter, the former Colorado two-way standout who was selected by the Jaguars in the 2025 NFL Draft. Hill’s response was as direct as it gets: “He’s gonna be a*s.” The remark quickly went viral, igniting fierce debate among NFL fans and analysts alike.

Hill didn’t just leave it at the insult. He elaborated that Hunter, who excelled as both a cornerback and wide receiver in college, would struggle to replicate that success in the pros. “Ain’t no way you guarding me and then catching passes on the other side,” Hill said. “This ain’t college.” Hill emphasized the intensity, speed, and complexity of the NFL compared to the college level, implying that Hunter might be in over his head trying to master both positions.

Rookie pressure builds for Hunter

Hill’s comments have drawn mixed reactions. Some believe he’s just delivering a dose of NFL reality, while others feel his words were needlessly disrespectful to a young player who hasn’t even played a snap in the league yet.

Hunter, now officially a Jacksonville Jaguar, has not publicly responded to Hill’s remarks. Known for his quiet confidence and discipline, it’s likely he’ll aim to answer critics on the field rather than in the media.

Regardless, Hill’s words have added another layer of intrigue to the upcoming NFL season. When the Jaguars and Dolphins meet, the spotlight will undoubtedly shine on a potential Hunter vs. Hill showdown.
