Injuries are an innate part of soccer, as they are in any other sport. Although there are times when they occur involuntarily, there are also occasions when they are caused by the bad temper of the opponent.
This was the sad case of forward Trinity Rodman of the United States women’s national soccer team. When the match was already in the final minutes, there was a strong tackle by a player from the Argentina national team
Maybe the frustration, despair or anger at seeing the game coming to an end and not being able to come back from the 2-0 deficit led her to act in such a disproportionate way against the rival of the Stars and Stripes.
A painful abandonment by Trinity Rodman
