Trevon Diggs still can’t believe Micah Parsons’ stunning breakout with the Packers

When Trevon Diggs saw his friend and former defensive partner in Dallas make a big move with his new team, he was shocked into disbelief.

Upon seeing Micah Parsons‘ stunning breakout move with the Green Bay Packers, Diggs took to X with a post that spoke volumes.

“This can’t be real. Wake me up from the dream.”

His reaction came after Parsons racked up a key tackle for loss and a sack in a commanding 27-13 victory over the Detroit Lions.

Parsons, held to 45 percent of defensive snaps due to a back issue and limited camp reps, still managed to impact the game decisively.

He generated three pressures-one leading to the sack-and drew noticeable attention from the opposition.

Fans at Lambeau Field erupted when Parsons finally found his way to quarterback Jared Goff in the fourth quarter.

The emotional reception and his on-field performance proved Parsons is more than just a highlight-he is a game-changer.

After the win, Parsons told Tracy Wolfson of CBS Sports that the enthusiastic welcome gave him chills.

“This environment, the first time, how they embraced me, the fans. This was one-of-one. This was really just a blessing in disguise.”

Packers land former Cowboy, and Pro Bowler

Green Bay acquired Parsons from Dallas in a blockbuster deal that sent two first-round picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark to the Cowboys. Parsons then signed a four-year, $188 million contract, marked as the richest ever for a non-quarterback.

Despite his limited playing time in Week 1-a result of a back injury and tight preparation-Parsons‘ presence rippled through the Packers‘ defense.

His disruption opened opportunities for teammates and showed how his arrival alone elevates the unit’s ceiling.

“Some of these guys on defense were just flying around, set the tone early,” Parsons said of his new teammates.

“That really means a lot, they just letting me do catch up. And the way they’re playing right now, I can take my time because I think we’re going for the long run.”

Meanwhile, the Cowboys endured a rough start to their own season, falling 24-20 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The contrast between Parsons‘ instant impact in Green Bay and Dallas’ early struggles only amplified the sting for Diggs and the Cowboys‘ locker room.

Looking ahead, the spotlight will soon turn back to both teams when they meet in Week 4 on “Sunday Night Football.” Expect electric intensity-not just from Parsons and Diggs, but from two franchises with deeply intertwined storylines.
