Travis Kelce is best known as a three-time Super Bowl champion, a future Hall of Fame tight end, and one-half of the most high-profile couple in sports alongside Taylor Swift. But this week, the Kansas City Chiefs star is being celebrated for something much more personal and impactful.
On his ESPN show Thursday, Pat McAfee highlighted Kelce’s latest philanthropic effort: a $3.3 million donation toward building a transitional living facility for homeless youth in Kansas City.
Teaming up with the nonprofit Foster Love, Kelce is transforming a 6,500-square-foot home into a haven for young people in need, offering both shelter and mentorship.

DailyMail.com reported last month that Kelce had partnered with Foster Love to create a fully furnished six-bedroom, five-bathroom property complete with amenities like a game room, study area, and a large kitchen.
The home also features outdoor comforts, including a patio, fire pit, and garden space-designed to provide both stability and inspiration for its future residents.
The initiative is much more than just housing. According to Foster Love, the new facility “will offer housing, mentorship, and educational resources, giving these youth the tools they need to move toward independence and break the cycle of homelessness.”
“I love this type of stuff,” McAfee said. “Obviously a lot of negative gets covered around the NFL and professional athletics… Obviously the conversation around Travis Kelce is that he is a GOAT at the tight end position, obviously very successful at football.
“But there are people that just naturally hate him because he’s very popular, very famous. Especially now because he’s dating the most popular and famous person in the world in Taylor Swift. So him giving back, making the world a better place, I think should be chatted about.”
McAfee added that Kelce could have easily spent that money on personal luxuries or family assets, but instead “wanted to give it back to society.”
This project is far from Kelce’s first step into philanthropy. Since 2015, he’s run the 87 & Running Foundation, which focuses on empowering underserved youth through education, mentorship, and athletic opportunities. The foundation regularly supports community-driven programs in Kansas City and beyond.
