Travis Kelce’s recent social media post offered fans an intimate, albeit subtle, look into his relationship with Taylor Swift and sent fans crazy thanks to what may have been a very specifically chosen number: 13.
The NFL tight end posted an Instagram photo carousel capturing moments from his offseason, and fans quickly identified multiple nods to the global popstar he has dated since 2023, setting social media abuzz.
In the caption, Kelce wrote, “Had some adventures this offseason,” before the x the Kansas City Chiefs’ star player added that he “kept it 100” as the post included various highlights from his summer break.
It included appearances by his brother, Jason, and their mother, Donna, and even the moment Swift went Instagram official on the 35-year-old’s profile, and naturally she caught the public’s attention.
Taylor’s lucky unlucky number
Perhaps the most telling detail was the total number of images in the carousel: 13 as for Swift’s devoted fanbase, this number holds special significance as she has long considered 13 her lucky number.
One fan commented online, referencing the number, “The fact that the post has 13 photos.”
A second added, “Of course it ended up being 13 photos. Of course.”
A deeper look into the photos revealed another detail that further fueled fan speculation. In the third image, taken at a restaurant, a phone sits in front of Travis – the lock screen appeared to show a photo of Taylor.
Although the screen was partially obscured, many fans interpreted this as a quiet but meaningful gesture of affection and a modern expression of love in the younger Millennial generation.

Meanwhile, Swift has also shown her support for Kelce in return as the Eras Tour superstar took to Instagram on July 25 to promote Happy Gilmore 2, the Netflix sequel in which Kelce makes a cameo appearance as a hotel employee.
Following up on the cult classic from the 1990s, the film stars Adam Sandler and he was impressed by Travis’ acting credentials, and it seems as though Taylor was too.
“Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie. An absolute must watch,” Swift posted to her 280 million followers. “13/10, go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanly possible.”
Sandler reprises his iconic role as Happy Gilmore in the comedy sequel which includes a star-studded cast and premiered on July 21 in New York City. It also stars the popular Latin musician, Bad Bunny, in a cameo role too.
