The Kansas City Chiefs‘ Travis Kelce begins to reemerge in the public eye after weighing up his future in the NFL as the three-time champion works out with Chamblee High School players.
A great chance to get some light work in as the preparation begins for the 2025/26 NFL season whilst also ticking off some great PR duties on behalf of the Chiefs organization, the tight end was spotted with Brayden Doss and Jazz Lewis in Atlanta.
Kelce could be seen throwing snaps to Doss, Chamblee’s quarterback, before the youngster then threw the ball to Lewis, who is his receiver. Afterwards, the three-time Super Bowl champion posed for photos.
Doss might have even picked up some advice on what it’s like to live in Cincinnati from the Ohio-born footballer, who grew up in nearby Cleveland and also returned there in the 2024/25 NFL season.
Kelce played in Cincinnati, alongside his older brother, Jason, for the Wildcats in college; before he was drafted by the Chiefs whilst Jason headed to the Philadelphia Eagles. Both became NFL champions.
Kelce ready to go for 2025/26 NFL season
The good news for Chiefs fans is that their 35-year-old tight end is active and getting back into the swing of things, after fears were raised he might not have the desire to compete in professional football.
Now 12 years into his career, he produced the worst numbers since his draft season in 2024/25 and during Super Bowl LIX, seemed to struggle for motivation to protect Patrick Mahomes from being sacked.
Accepting responsibility for his role in a 40-22 defeat to the Eagles on February 9, Kelce admitted whether he thinks he’s still got what it takes to perform in the NFL and to make sure he is giving everything he’s got to his teammates. He then agreed to play another year.
“I always like guys to step back (after the season),” Andy Reid, head coach, said of Kelce. “But he wants to come back, and he’s training like crazy, too.”
