Slowly but surely, the wounds from Super Bowl LIX are starting to heal for Kansas City Chiefs players, at least slightly. The loss likely didn’t hit anyone as hard as Travis Kelce, who had the opportunity to win a third straight Super Bowl and ride off into the sunset if he wanted to. Instead, he suffered a brutal loss as a team captain, then retreated into silence shortly after.
After some much-needed disconnection time, Kelce announced he would come back for the 2025 season. His frown turned into a wry smile, as he began making appearances once again on his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason Kelce. Now, he looks to be fully himself again. And that was apparent on their recent episode with recently retired Philadelphia Eagles legend Brandon Graham. There was a moment during the episode that truly stood out to fans of Kelce, and particularly Taylor Swift.
Travis Kelce can’t help but smile at the thought of having kids
While appearing on the show, Graham gave Travis a personal, beautiful message about the idea of having children.
You know it’s going to get better as you get kids, you’re just going to want to give them everything that you got. And I know for you, it’s going to be cool. But make sure, you know, you’re ready when you’re ready, because it’s going to slow you down a little bit.
Kelce responds by saying “there you go, there you go“. Graham clarifies that the slowing down part will be “in a great way“, to which Kelce says “no, yeah, of course“.
Fans couldn’t help but notice that Kelce was smiling from ear to ear while Graham was giving his mini-speech about having children. Some fans even picked up on Jason smiling wide as well, another possible hint that everyone knows Travis will be a dad soon enough.
There have been reports in the past that Swift and Kelce have begun thinking about starting a family. It hasn’t quite happened yet, possibly since they’re not even engaged yet, but everything points to both wanting for it to happen as soon as possible. Both Swift and Kelce are in their mid-30s, so there’s an inherent pressure to settle down and begin having kids.
